The repertoire of secular chants or tonos humanos is probably one of the least well known aspects of Spanish baroque music, and surprisingly, these songs are often found in religious archives. This CD presents some rare examples of these fascinating songs or tonos humanos performed at the Spanish Court in the second half of seventeenth century.
