Fifteen Cellos… together? When Peter Buck formed an ensemble of fifteen identical instruments, it could be done only with violoncellos: this is the only string instrument capable of playing as effectively in the violin as in the double bass registers. The simultaneous use of all these possibilities creates a chamber orchestra of perfect homogeneity; the combination of superb technical virtuosity, discipline and an acute sense of modulating sonorities results in a magnificent -and unprecedented- range of timbres.
