Les grands opéras du répertoire

Operatic masterworks

The harmonia mundi label would be the last to boast of having recorded every great opera in the repertoire. However, we are proud of having brought back in circulation many baroque operas and, with the advantage of period instruments, of having revisited quite a few classical, romantic, and even 'modern' examples of the genre! From Orfeo (1607) to Pelléas et Mélisande (1902), a look back at 40 years of recordings devoted to three centuries of opera in all its forms.
