Les Ballets Russes

The Ballets Russes

The Ballets Russes are most often linked with their great Paris venues (Châtelet, Champs-Élysées), but this troupe created in 1907 by Diaghilev also spent two decades crisscrossing the world; what's more, it gave birth to iconic ballets that have immortalised the creative genius of dancers (Ida Rubinstein), choreographers (Fokine, Nijinsky, Massine), and composers.... including a certain Igor Stravinsky. But he was only one of many!
