Inspirée d’une Psyché signée Lully, Molière, Corneille et Quinault, la Psyche de Locke fut un véritable feu d’artifice artistique : cherchant à rivaliser en splendeur avec les opéras du continent, elle mêlait avec gourmandise théâtre, chant, danse, décors et machines spectaculaires.
