Louise de Penancoët de Keroual (Lady Louise) war Spionin im Dienste Ludwigs XIV. und Mätresse von Charles II. Sie sollte dafür sorgen, dass England im Machtbereich des Sonnenkönigs blieb, und knüpfte zu diesem Zweck enge Verbindungen zwischen Musikern beidseits des Kanals. So entstand aus politischen Gründen ein vielfältiges, glanzvolles und ausdrucksstarkes Repertoire. Das Ensemble Leviathan und Lucile Tessier präsentieren es hier als spannende Neuentdeckung.
