The Four seasons

A concise selection devoted if not exactly to the inexorable course of time, then at least to the yearly cycle of the seasons, translated into the seven notes of the scale by numerous composers of the 17th, 18th, 19th centuries...and beyond. “The Seasons” (Haydn) and “The Four Seasons” (Vivaldi) immediately come to mind, but there is so much more besides.
