Es ist seit Langem überfällig, das beachtliche Oeuvre, das Imogen Holst (1907-1984), Tochter von Gustav Holst, vor und nach ihrer Tätigkeit als Mitarbeiterin von Benjamin Britten (1952-1964) über ihr ganzes Leben verteilt komponiert hat, gebührend zu würdigen. Der Chor des Clare College, Cambridge unter Graham Ross und das Dmitri Ensemble sind die Ausführenden dieser Weltersteinspielungen einer Auswahl von Chorwerken (zwischen 1927 und 1972 entstanden, drei seit ihrer Uraufführung erstmals wieder zu hören) und ihrer einfallsreichen Orchestrierung von Brittens Festkantate Rejoice in the Lamb, die sie in seinem Auftrag schrieb.
